A practical educational plan to nourish virtuous character

The purpose of this site is not to inform you, but to help form your character. It is not meant to be read, but to be followed in a journey of growth.

#1 – Understand

Learn what character and virtue education is, how it works, why it is important and where it is rooted.

#2 – Test

Take a Virtue Test, evaluate your character and identify specific virtues in which you would like to grow.

#3- Practice

Engage with an intensive plan  to help you grow in a selected virtue through the consolidated practices of habituation, character friendship and virtue literacy.

#4 – Reflect

Evaluate, reflect in depth on your growth, celebrate and consider new plans for character growth.

Four phases, 24 weeks

The plan is meant to be completed over 24 consecutive weeks, but it can be adapted to different scheduling needs.

Research-based and free

Based on recent scholarship in Aristotelian virtue ethics and developed by Marvin Oxenham (PhD). It is designed as a companion to the two books by the author:  Character and Virtue in Theological Education (2019) and Character and Virtue in Practice (2025).

The site is completely free.
